In brief…
I stand for designs with character — often contemporary and always in balance with the surroundings. I have a fascination for light & space, honest materials and a well-considered layout that leaves room for your own interpretation. The combination of your brief and the specific situation makes every commission unique — bespoke design is the starting point. I translate your wishes into fitting, often surprising solutions.
I take as much as possible off your hands throughout the entire process. Communication is clear, in words and visuals. A digital 3D model of the end result is always part of this. The 3D images make the design immediately clear to you.
Digital 3D model
Throughout the entire process, 3D software is used to make the design clear and accessible for you and all external parties. The 3D model is the central point for all relevant information — a digital version of the future built situation.During the design phases, the 3D model gives everyone a clear picture of the design variants. You can view these from any desired viewpoint, on your own laptop or in virtual reality. Using the VR headset, you take a kind of test drive through the design.
During the further development, all relevant structural elements and data from external advisors are added to the 3D model — including the structure, ventilation and drainage runs, all electrical points, the kitchen design, sanitary ware, the interior designer's work, and so on.
Because the digital 3D model is the intersection of all 3D data, any clashes between elements become immediately visible and can be resolved at an early stage. This minimises the risk of unpleasant surprises during construction and gives you a continuously clear picture of the complete design.
In the words of a client:
"With a flat drawing it is often difficult to estimate what a space will really look like. How much room will there be between the worktop and the kitchen block? Can I still see the whole garden when I am sitting at my desk? How does the light fall in the morning through the rooflight in the office? All these questions become immediately clear as soon as you see the design in 3D. And especially when you put on the VR headset and 'walk into' the new design.
It is even possible during your walk in the VR environment to switch between the old and the new situation, or to the other design options.
This makes it clear what the result will be before a single stone has been laid!"
