On the upper floor, the new master bedroom, complete with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet, was built over the swimming pool, providing a panoramic view of the large sedum-covered roof.
To balance the new extension on the upper floor with the overall composition, two large overhangs at the back were connected, creating a prominent dark continuous accent.
The various modifications to the façade were concealed behind a thick layer of façade insulation and stucco. As a result of all these interventions, the villa now meets the most important requirements for new construction regarding energy efficiency, daylight, and ventilation.
They could virtually walk through the building on their laptops, switching between the rough construction and the finished state, allowing them to form a clear understanding of the structure and the modifications.
This approach made decision-making significantly easier, despite the scale of the renovation, the complexity of the construction, and the intricate network of various installation and drainage channels.
